Director and Co-founder
David has been a real estate and investment management specialist in Australia and internationally for over 29 years.
David’s career was founded on appraisal and commercial brokerage with Colliers International in Australia, Singapore and India where he specialised in investment brokerage for private, corporate and pension fund groups.
A logical progression to real estate investment management saw David manage over $900 million of property portfolios for major domestic and international groups with Australia’s largest financial institution AMP Capital prior to founding a boutique advisory firm Griffin Capital which provided specialist property investment advice and managed portfolios of over $300 million.
David co-founded Sierra Leyton in 2010, a specialist real estate investment manager which today manages over $100 million of property investments and projects in Australia. Sierra Leyton is a cornerstone investor in each property it manages and David remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of that business.
Together with three property executives David founded ‘Tour de Kids’ in 2001, an annual charity cycle ride in Australia covering over 1,000km. Tour de Kids raises, on average, $500,000 each year for kids based charities.
He is an Associate member as well as a Certified Fund Manager and a Certified Property Practitioner of the Australia Property Institute and a Responsible Manager under Sierra Leyton’s Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). David holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Property Resource Management (Valuation) from the University of South Australia and is a graduate of the University of Western Australia (MBA, Finance).
